I heard about team Susie through the mwt website and checked it out without knowing i would end up captivated and crying and filled with emotions. When I was diagnosed with cancer i too was a kid about to turn 20. i never cried and didn't see the point. what god hands you in life you just take and if they are lemons...you make lemonade was my philosophy. I don't think any young girl could have had a better inspiration than Susie. Sometimes i look back and think of what cancer took away from me, but looking at Susie i see it can leave a legacy and is something we should all live up to.. Thank you Susie and the Calvey family.

I have a once in a lifetime chance to take care of this angel while she was at the hospital. A very rare opportunity for a nurse to see the kind of spirit and courage I have seen in her. She's truly a one of a kind. Susie, thank you for touching my life in a very meaningful way. To Susie's family, you can reach me at 2105358603. My address: 21911 Pelican Creek San Antonio Tx 78258 I hope you all still remember me: I took care of Susie while she was in SICU Methodist.... I will never forget the experience and the opportunity of taking care of her while she was in the hospital. Always, Joseph

This website is a wonderful tribute to this young lady. Though I didn't know Susie, from what I gathered on this website and at the bbq today, she was a remarkable person with a wonderful heart. So tragic that the life of somebody so young and beautiful would be cut so short, however my family has said that when this happens, it is 'cause God needs them more than we need them.

From what I gathered through articles, message boards and the fundraiser Susie must have been an amazing person. I hope to swing by the bar-be-que tomorrow. I will also spread the word. Thanks, Chris

I have been moved to continue praying, fasting, giving and being there for the unborn. A short life lived for Jesus has brought life to so many. Thank you Susie's family for doing this. I hope to join you at the BBQ. Dear Susie, Please pray for me from the place you are at with Jesus.

Heaven needed another angel. God bless you Susie for helping women who were in need and for being a voice for those who have no voice, the preborn. You were an amazing person whose journey was short but oh, how you touched so many lives. I am fortunate to have "met" you through your mom.
